Organized in 1985, the Siouxland Heritage Museums Alliance acknowledges the Siouxland Heritage Museums as an important cultural organization in the region. It is the primary support and volunteer group for the Museums system in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Alliance promotes public awareness and application of the Museums and assists directly with fund-raising, programs and special events.

 

The Alliance Board of Directors meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. under the group's official bylaws and an annual meeting is held for all members. Working with the Museums' staff and the Board of Trustees, the Alliance develops ideas to assist the Museums with its mission and goals.
